The live training seminar is a comprehensive training program for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. The live training offers 8 hours of live CE for pharmacists and 4 hours of live CE for pharmacy technicians. The training teaches pharmacists and pharmacy technicians how to use a team-based approach to successfully complete MTM services in the community pharmacy. Pharmacy teams get the opportunity to practice working together using the new forms and protocols to complete practice MTM cases.
The registration fee for the training includes admission for one pharmacist, one pharmacy technician, the online MTM The Future Today Manual, 6 months free subscription to the online resources available through the Members Site, user support from our team, and certificate of training completion.
The MTM The Future Today home-study section “Introduction to MTM” defines MTM services, including CMR and TMR services, and provides information on requirements and goals for completing each type of service. Introduction to MTM also introduces the MTM platforms, Outcomes and Mirixa. This section of the home-study describes how MTM cases are identified inside the platforms and how the services are reimbursed by payers.

MTM The Future Today is the complete team-based training program designed for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

The live training session features an in-depth look at Star Ratings and EQuIPP scores.

During this session, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians will learn how to shift their focus beyond MTM completion and understand the relationship between pharmacy reimbursements and the effective completion of MTM services.

MTM The Future Today is driven by pharmacy technicians. Under the new protocol, all non-clinical activities are shifted to technicians and the trained pharmacy technicians take control of the MTM program. This design gives pharmacists more time to focus on patient interactions and clinical activities that only the pharmacist can complete.

The pharmacy technician protocol for MTM services is covered in detail during the morning section, followed by hands-on patient case activities that give pharmacy technicians an opportunity to practice their new skills.

After lunch is the pharmacist only section. The disease state guidelines review provides participants with updates on disease states common to MTM services. This review focuses on delivering information applicable to MTM services, highlighting information that will be useful when completing both CMRs and TMRs.

Pharmacists are then introduced to applying clinically minded verification techniques in their every-day pharmacy practice.

Next, the pharmacist MTM protocol is presented.

After introducing the pharmacist protocol, the training concludes with patient cases designed to guide pharmacists through MTM services and allows the pharmacists to apply the information they have learned.
